"Unless it increases, it doesn't get to the state of consideration."

"Unless it increases, it doesn't get to the state of consideration." - David Stern, 3/8/2013 press conference, chastising the Mastrov/Burkle group for its lowball offer for the Kings.

This is a clear public admission that the league will not even consider the Sacramento group if it cannot present a proposed purchase price that is comparable to HBN's purchase price. It is going to be extremely interesting to watch Stern try to distance himself from this quote when he attempts to justify denying the current HBN deal (which values the team at $100MM more than the Ranadive offer).

I am a corporate bankruptcy lawyer, not an antitrust lawyer. But even I could win this case against Stern and the NBA.
