Bojan Bogdanovic Finally Joining Brooklyn Nets

According to ESPN, the Brooklyn Nets will add Bojan Bogdanovic to their roster on July 10, once the moratorium on free agents ends. The Nets originally drafted Bogdanovic back in 2011 with the 31st pick, which they purchased from the Minnesota Timberwolves. Bogdanovic has been playing the last two seasons with Fenerbache Ulker of the Turkish League.

Bogdanovic scored 14.8 points per game last season in Turkey, shooting 46.8% from the field and 29.8% from beyond the arc. Brooklyn's new coach Lionel Hollins watched tape of the 6'7" wing player over the weekend and was said to be impressed, leading to the team finally bringing him over with a three-year, $10.3 million contract that includes a player option for the third year. This is the team's mini-MLE, which they had originally hoped to offer to Shaun Livingston. Livingston, however, decided to join the Golden State Warriors and thus the contract was then earmarked for Bogdanovic. It's not quite clear what position the 25-year-old will player in Hollins's system, and that, as well as the size of Bodanovic's role with the team, could depend on if Paul Pierce returns.

The Nets got a player who can spread the floor and hit from outside and can also attack the rim. He will join fellow Bosnian Mirza Teletovic on the Nets.
