Introducing Sonics Guessing, an NBA pick 'em game

We here at Sonics Rising are all still fans of the NBA, regardless of our current nomad status. As such, we watch a fair amount of basketball. To that end, we have... let's say "borrowed" a game from NBA TV show "The Starters." On "The Starters" they call it "Pick 'Em Payoff," but here we're going to call it Sonics Guessing.

I will be the SG commissioner. Our participants are Kevin Nesgoda, Mike Baker, Chris Meirose, and Lucas Shannon. Each day, these three gentlemen will pick the winners of five games (or less, if less are being played) and will get one point for each correct guess. At the end of the month, whoever has the least amount of points will have to do something embarrassing for our amusement.

So here we go. Here are the picks for tonight.

Kevin and Lucas will have the same record at the end of the night, while Mike has a chance to pull ahead if the Mavericks can defeat the Hornets. Chris has the most differing opinion. Will it help or hurt him? Come back tomorrow to see the results and five new picks.
