Not a single Sonic player in the positive +/-, Nick and Vitaly let the way at -1 each. Every Suns player was in the positive of +/-.

The fewest points given up in a quarter tonight was 25, and Phoenix had previously been struggling on offense. I think teams are going to begin to look forward to padding their stats against the non-existant Sonics defense here pretty soon. Oh...we're in a slump...when do we play the Sonics next?

I haven't given up hope, but it sure is frustrating watching this team give lackluster efforts with an occassional good game. The good games are like carrots in front of the donkey. A move needs to be made.

Flip Murray is a better flow stopper than a tampon. David Locke has been writing about this for a while. The ball goes to him, he pounds it on the floor, everyone stands around and the offense stagnates. We'd be better off going without a PG on the floor most nights than to put Flip in. Sure he scored a few points late in tonight's game, but the damage was done.

Where was Vlade Radmanovic's agent tonight? 21 minutes ZERO points. Let's see...if I do the math..carry the one...that works out to ZERO points. Where's that scoring machine he threated in yesterday's newspaper? To Vlade's credit, he did grab 6 rebounds, which for him is a good amount. Only Damien Wilkins grabbed the same amount in fewer minutes for a lot less money. Vlade, you're playing for a contract, impress us once in a while would you?

Luke, you started the game well, I think 2 for 2 IIRC and then it went down hill, with you missing the next 10 shots you took. Ouch!

If Reggie Evans doesn't carry this team in the first quarter it would've been a blow out in the first half as well. The offense is not working right, and the defense is broken. Sure there were a few early moments where it looked like the Sonics might play "D" tonight, but that was smoke and mirrors it appears.

We took 9 more shots than the Suns, and still managed to make 13 fewer shots.

Nick Collison was neutralized by fouls tonight. He potentially could have done some damage, but he couldn't stay on the floor.

Good to see Cleaves get some run. Free Mateen!! He should be getting all of Flip's minutes. I don't care if Mateen makes another shot the rest of the year, he runs the offense so much better than Flip.

Among those on staff here at Sonicscentral.com, I was in the minority choosing the Suns pre-season as a team who would make the playoffs, in spite of their loss of Amare. I'll stand by my early season prediction. The Suns are scrappy, and are finding ways to win. Nash has rubbed off on everyone on this team it appears.

Apparently Danny Fortson has a sick daughter (flu?), and he stayed with her tonight. Our thoughts and prayers (from those inclined) are with you Fortson family, and we wish you a speedy recovery!
