9-2 Update: Since this is a basketball blog, it's worth noting the efforts made by NBA and WNBA teams to aid relief efforts. NBA.com has a complete list of what teams are doing. Locally, the Sonics and Storm have rallied around Storm center Janell Burse, a New Orleans native with 12 family members who had to flee Katrina. The franchise is collecting money at Storm games, and you can donate by mail or at the Sonics and Storm Team Shop if you don't have Storm tickets.
