Thank you coach Weiss

I mailed this letter today to thank Coach Weiss for being such a great guy in my dealings with him. It has been hard to write critical pieces about him and I hope he's remembered for his positive contributions over the last several years. This is my last "looking back" piece for a while. Tomorrow it's all about the future and we can really dig into what life will be like with Coach Hill.

I was just thinking over the year and it's somewhat funny to me(not likely to anyone else) that I was the first person to get an interview with Bob Weiss on media day. He was in the middle of his pictures and every member of the media knew they were supposed to wait until he was made available to question him. I just walked in and interupted him for 15 minutes. He was friendly, never said a word about it, and finally said "I'm so sorry, I've just got to finish up." I found out later that I had completely interupted him and jumped the gun asking Sonicscentral questions before he'd even met with FSNW, KJR, or the Seattle Times.

Coach,

In light of today’s news I wanted to write you this letter to thank you for being such a pleasure to work with as I attended practice for the last 4 months. As an amateur journalist I have often felt uncomfortable with the media process and am aware that my etiquette was far from perfect. Regardless you were always warm, courteous, and friendly to me throughout the process. Your welcoming attitude made a great difference to me and I appreciate greatly the effort you always made to be honest and open with members of the media. There are some questions that simply would have been easier not to answer.

It has been hard to see you go through the roller coaster of the last several months. You kept a good smile through the majority of times and I hope that you wind up better for the experience.

I want to thank you for being a great guy to work with and also on behalf of the fans for your many years of great service.

I hope that we have a chance to meet again and wish you the very best as you move on to new opportunities.

Regards,

Brian Robinson
