Your unofficial box score for opening night. PopcornMachine's GameFlow - when Travis Outlaw was on the floor, they killed us. This game was all about offensive rebounds. The Sonics spent the first 44 minutes with an advantage on O boards, and a small score advantage (while missing 12 more shots than the Blazers). The last few rebounds by Portland swung the balance in their favor. This is not a game the Sonics should have lost. The bench played very poorly. Had Nick Collison had even a mediocre night the Sonics win this game. There were certainly some bright spots, especially the play of Luke Ridnour and to a lesser degree Rashard Lewis. Johan Petro did little tonight, and that really hurts with the loss of Robert Swift. It appears Bob Hill is still ironing out his rotation and substitution pattern. With a tough stretch to open the season there is little time to figure these things out. Here's to hoping this was a fluke.
