Happy St. Patrick's Day! Celebrate by throwing things at people who look like Danny Ainge!

Or watch an Irish-themed movie ... Connery sings!

No, don't do that. Just be proud of what the Irish have given us ... Guinness, corned beef and cabbage, and Jameson's. Surely there's something else, but I can't think of it right now.

Busy hoops night last night. Nice to see the Zags and UW advance, and for this Orange hata, nice to see Syracuse get put back in their place.

And, oh yeah ... the Supes played like absolute crap for about4/5ths of last night's game and yet were able to unseat the Answer-less 76ers despite having the weakest rebounding effort in recent memory.

I have to give a major shout out to Earl "Easy Weezy" Watson who turned in a kick ass performance on both sides of the floor and recorded one of the sickest blocked shots I've seen by a Sonic in a while. His block on John "Coho" Salmons is the defensive highlight of the year so far.

It seemed to me that the Sonics were overemphasizing their post attack last night...as witnessed by the shot attempt numbers for Count Dunkula and Cola.

In other news, Danny Fortson's tenure as a Sonic seems all but over. Percy Allen writes that a team source claims he will be traded before next season.

"During his time away, Fortson has pondered his future in Seattle and wonders if he'll have a chance to return for the final year of a contract that will pay him $6.9 million.

"The organization has been good to me and have done all that they could, but it's hard to feel like you're a part of team," he said. "I can't lie about that. I'm not out there with them. It's hard."

The often volatile power forward has been unable to foster a working relationship with coach Bob Hill, and a team source said on Thursday that the Sonics will attempt to trade Fortson this summer."

Nice, gritty win Supes.
