Sonics Confirm Felix Signing

Sonicscentral.com broke the story and the team has now confirmed it. Training camp invitee Noel Felix has been signed to a contract.

SEATTLE - The Seattle SuperSonics today signed Noel Felix to a 10-day contract, Sonics General Manager Rick Sund announced.

A 6-9 forward out of Fresno State, Felix began this season in training camp with the Sonics and averaged 2.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 10.8 minutes per game in five preseason games. He was waived by the team Oct. 29, 2005.

Felix has appeared in 41 games this season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the Continental Basketball Association, where he averaged 15.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per games on 54.4 percent (259-476) shooting from the field.

Last season, Felix averaged 15.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game with the Yakima Sun Kings of the CBA. He played his rookie season (2003-04) with the Idaho Stampede of the CBA and recorded 8.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in 37 contests.

Felix attended Fresno State from 1999 through 2003 and registered 5.4 points and 3.7 rebounds per game in 128 career games.

The Sonics roster now stands at 13 players.
