Nash to win MVP

ESPN.com is reporting that Steve Nash will be winning his second MVP award.

Steve Nash would also be my personal choice for MVP. He raises the game of those around him more than just a single level. Of all the NBA players this past season, I would contend he was the most important to his team. He also kept the boat heading in the right direction without his most potent weapon in Amare Stoudemire, and missing solid contributor Tim Thomas.

In 14 of the past 20 years the league MVP has come from a Western Conference team. Of those 6 not out of the West, some "bum" named Michael Jordan won 5 of them.
