Memphis got some bad news yesterday, learning that their star player, Pau Gasol will be missing in upwards of 3 months of play due to a fracture in his foot. The injury was sustained in international play at the World Championships in Japan. His injury occured near the end of the game in which Spain defeated Argentina 75-74. Incidently, Spain defeated Greece with a shocking 70-47 rout to win their first Gold Medal in the World Championship of Basketball.

Reggie Evans has agreed in principle to a five-year deal to remain with the Denver Nuggets, the Denver Post reported on Tuesday.
The newspaper, citing sources, reported that financial terms had yet to be finalized, but that Evans would sign a deal later this week. The Post reported that Evans would get less than the team's full mid-level exception, which is worth $5.215 million for the upcoming season.
