The unofficial box score from tonight's game and PopcornMachine's GameFlow.
The Sonics played one of the better teams in the NBA very close for 33 minutes. Unfortunately the games are 48 minutes long. That said, a lot of positives can be drawn from tonight's game.
Damien Wilkins led the Sonics with 21 points, to go along with his 8 rebounds. Delonte West contributed 19 points. Wilcox, Petro and Collison combined for 30 points and 29 rebounds.
Kevin Durant scored 18 points on 7 of 22 shooting. His shot was off, but you could see glimpses of what is to come. And it should be noted that Allen Iverson fared only slightly better shooting 9 of 22.
Linas Kleiza was a killer tonight, really a key difference maker in the game. If he can continue to shoot as well as tonight, hitting the open 3pt. shot, the Nuggets will be very tough to beat all season long. That would add a dimension that has been lacking from the Denver teams of the past few years, a legit outside threat.
