A tough loss tonight for your Seattle Supersonics. Chris Paul had a good game, and one very lucky shot. Kevin Durant had a tough night shooting going 7 for 22 and had 23 points.
The Sonics had plenty of opportunities to win this game, in the end it came down some players simply being unable to get the ball in the basket.
Kurt Thomas showed again that he is a game changing player with dominating play in the 3rd quarter. Unfortunately he was unable to finish the game - he was hit in the mouth in the 4th quarter and required a few stitches.
Damien Wilkins couldn't throw it in the Gulf tonight going 1-10. Add to that 5 turnovers and you have a less than inspiring stat line. Wilkins was a -11 in +/- for the game as well.
Nick Collison rebounded well, but struggled to put the ball in the basket going 1-7. Chris Wilcox contributed 12 points and 13 rebounds to the loosing effort.
