Today the Sonics made it official that they are adding Bill Branch, Gerald Madkins and Frank Ross to their staff.
Bill Branch was named the Sonics’ Director of Pro Player Personnel. Branch has 21 years of NBA experience with the Nuggets and Bobcats as an assistant coach and various scouting roles.
Gerald Madkins will serve as the Director of West Coast Scouting. Madkins comes to the Sonics from the Knicks where he was also a scout. Madkins also has experience as an assistant coach in the college ranks at UCLA and Cal State Stanislaus.
Frank Ross joins the Sonics in the capacity of the Director of East Coast Scouting. Ross previously served as a scout with the Charlotte Bobcats and prior to that was the lead assistant coach with the University of Albany in New York.
