So one night after a Sonics game I was at Mr. Lucky's bar with some friends when the bouncer was shot in the chest.
After getting the crew together we ran out the door, jumped into Danny Fortson's yellow Humvee and headed for home.
"Don't worry Danny." I said "I'll make sure nobody in the media knows you were there for that."
"Thats F!cked up!" said Danny. "N!gga got shot in there and you think I give a f!ck about the media? Pray for the man that was injured! That's what's important!"
From that lesson I learned to always remember what was important and what was media posturing. Always prioritize doing the right thing first and worry about how the media will cover it after you are done.
