The most interesting story line of the game is the obvious one - Dwight Howard vs. Lakers. Perhaps the most interesting sub-plot is whether the Lakers can continue to (at times) play above expectations or will they fall back to medocrity?
Leaders for the Lakers:
Of note from the Lakers - Nobody on the team is averaging over 15 points per game. 5 players averaging double figures though. Nobody is averaging more than 29 minutes per game. 8 players averaging at least 21 minutes a game. Wesley Johnson has been playing good defense for the Lakers that doesn't really show in the stats.
Leaders for the Rockets:
While the Rockets are playing pretty good ball already, I forsee them getting more precise in the pick and roll and better at finding easy baskets for Dwight Howard as the season progresses.
Odd stat of the day - Chandler Parsons is currently 2nd in the NBA in distance traveled on the court - 13.5 miles in the first 5 games. Dwight Howard is leading the NBA in Rebounding Opportunites.
