National Treasure 3

I'm sure you read all the mysterious conspiracy posts about how this whole Seattle/Sacramento thing goes much deeper and more sinister than anyone knows. Deeper than fans. Deeper than cities. Deeper than sports. Deeper than money. Maybe even deeper than politics. The rumors went all the way to Obama. If you missed the long debate on that check these threads:

And more underneath those. And more in other threads. Just keep reading.

Well, if the secrets of the behind the scenes machinations are to be spilled I feel it is time I tell you the truth. It has been buried far too long and its time this finally came out. Follow along if you dare. And then I must kill you.

Back in the times of yore, non-gladiator type sports were forbidden. The Romans extinguished anyone who went against this rule. Then came Jesus, the King of Kings. In the written history, there is a span of Jesus' life that is unknown. It can now be told that during this lost time Jesus invented basketball. He coached a team of 12 (called The Disciples) and they traveled the lands playing pickup games. Because its main equipment was a ball and a hoop (both round things) they referred to the game as "O". Eventually Jesus and the Disciples retired from the game of "O" so they could spread the Word of God. This is when history caught back up with them. Before hiding the original ball and hoop, Jesus gave them unspeakable power. The ball and hoop were lost to dustbin of history.

At some point in time, a group of powerful knights, The Knights Templar, discovered many lost holy relics. Two of these were the lost hoop and ball. The relics brought them much power and wealth. After years of conflict, the Pope put a bounty on the Templars heads. Most were destroyed but some escaped carrying with them many of the relics, including the hoop and ball. Nobody knows where they went. Some think they went to the Amazon, some think Africa, and a few think France. Some believe they made it to the new world.

Hundreds of years later, a spanish explorer discovered a magically beautiful land on the west coast of the new world. He drank in the beauty around him and exclaimed “Es como el sagrado sacrament! (It's like the Holy Sacrament!)”. The discovery of this magical land is well known. What is not well known is that he also discovered the lost hoop and ball. He did leave us a clue when he named the valley, river, and city "Sacramento". Do you see it now? "SACRAMENT" + "O".

It was a hectic time in the world what with all the exploring, nation building, and such. The spanish explorer didn't think it was a safe time to announce to the world that the hoop and ball had been found. They re-hid them in a deep underground brick structure built by some masons. The masons did it for free because they too wanted to keep the items safe and secret. These 'freemasons' kept watch over the hoop and ball for many years. (Side note: It was not easy to determine who was a freemason and who was not so they needed to come up with a secret gesture to identify themselves. When a freemason would come upon another man he would put his 5 fingers up in the air. If the other man was also a freemason he would slap his 5 fingers against the ones already in the air.)

The secret was safe until the 1891 when freemason James Naismith went rougue and decided to bring the game of basketball back into the light. The game became a hit. A pro league was formed in 1946. The original ball and hoop remained hidden.

During the 1960s, the city of Sacramento was growing and buildings were sprouting everywhere. They were getting very close to stumbling upon the underground brick home of the sacred ball and hoop. This made the freemasons very nervous and they began to look for ways to protect the land. They decided on a master plan to build something large there before anyone else broke ground and discovered the treasure. They tasked one of their young pitbulls, David Stern, with coming up with a plan. Stern at the time was a counsel to the pro league of basketball. Having witnessed the Lakers move to LA in 1960, Stern had an idea. If they could move a team to Sacramento they could build an arena over the brick structure and keep it from being discovered. The final piece of the puzzle came in 1972 when the Royals moved to KC and changed their names to the Kings. The Kings. The King of Kings. Stern took this to be a sign that it was this team that should move to Sacramento. He quietly put the plan into motion. When Stern became the league commissioner in 1985 he had the power and authority to take action. His first action as commissioner was moving the Kings to Sacramento. The ball and hoop are again safe.

Do you see it now? If the Kings move they will tear down the arena and things will be discovered. The time is not right. It is another hectic time in the world. If these legendary relics surface there will be a battle for their possession. It could be the start of WWIII.

This is what Stern and the freemasons are fighting for. And, yes, he does have that person in high places helping him. This person is another freemason named Barry Sotero. He was tasked in helping Stern to keep the relics safe. When he was chosen he changed his name to Obama. Yes, what you see is true. "O" bama.

So you see. This is bigger than fans. Bigger than cities. Bigger than sports. Bigger than money.

Don't take my word for it. This will all be shown in the upcoming film "National Treasure 3 : Page 47".

Now you know the truth.

A little levity :) Hope I didn't offend or blaspheme or anything. It was sure fun writing. Kinda rambled a bit but whatever. You try to weave together basketball, politics, Sea/Sac, Kings, Stern, templars, freemasons, etc. off the top of your head :)

Anyway, I don't mean anything by it, SonicsSupporter. Your theories may be true. I don't know. I certainly believe politics are run in darker places and have longer tentacles than we all know. I, for one, would like to see your entire theory and backup material in a fanpost instead of scattered all around. I know I've missed some. But as I was reading your threads about them this idea just percolated and I was bored :)
