The prime game of the last Saturday of the regular season features two completely different teams that could potentially once again be first round opponents in the playoffs.
The Clippers beat the Grizzlies in a very fun, seven game, first round series last year. Memphis currently has a one game lead over the Clippers for home court (even though the Clippers would be the higher seed). If the Clippers win they take the season series 3-1 and own the tie breaker for home court. If the Grizzlies win they tie the season series, but own the tie breaker by better conference record.
I'm going to let our friends at Clippers Nation and Grizzly Bear Blues take over from here.
Clippers-Grizzlies: Game of the year - Clips Nation
Regular season games don't get bigger than this. These two teams are likely to meet in the first round of the playoffs beginning in a week, and the winner of this game will more than likely have home court advantage for that series.
Game Preview: Grizzlies vs. Clippers - Grizzly Bear Blues
Tonight, the Grizzlies will play the biggest game of their season to date. It will likely determine whether the Grizzlies have home court advantage or not in the playoffs. Also, could this be a preview of a round one playoff series?
