SEATTLE - Head Coach Lorenzo Romar confirmed the creation of the University of Washington Men’s Basketball Alumni Event, to be held Sunday, June 23 in Alaska Airlines Arena. The event will feature former Husky basketball stars returning to the hardwood, and is open to the public.

The day will tip-off at 1 p.m. with a Legends Game which pairs two teams of UW standouts from years past. More-recent Huskies will then take stage for the Alumni Game, showcasing Huskies currently playing professionally. Fans will then be treated to a 3-point shootout, and a slam-dunk contest, likely to feature NBA Slam-Dunk Champions Nate Robinson and Terrence Ross.

"We have such a strong and connected network of former players here at Washington, and they love getting the chance to catch up with each other," Romar said. "This event is about providing an opportunity for them to do so, and for Washington Basketball fans to get the chance to see some of their all-time favorites don the purple and gold once again."

Department officials have received attendance confirmations from former UW stars Robinson, Ross, Jon Brockman, Quincy Pondexter, Brandon Roy, Isaiah Thomas, Tony Wroten, Spencer Hawes and Justin Holiday.

The event will be presented and produced by 3 Point Productions, a Seattle-based live events and sports entertainment company who works closely with the University of Washington to enhance the game presentation and fan experience at Husky home games.

"This is a one-of-a-kind event, and we’re thrilled to be presenting it," Pat Walker, President of 3 Point Productions, said. "For the first time ever, Washington is holding a public game featuring the alumni players and the entertainment value of combining Husky tradition with this all star cast of athletes is going to make for a memorable day on campus."

Tickets for the event cost $15, with children under 12 receiving free admission. Tickets can be purchased online atGoHuskies.com/Events.
