Chris Hansen also made his first public appearances in Seattle this weekend. On Saturday night he received an award from the Tabor 100 Minority Business Council where he spoke eloquently about growing up in Seattle's diverse Central District.
"It is somewhat awkward to receive an award for something that is only halfway done." He said, before reaffirming his commitment to bringing the Sonics back.
The next morning Hansen along with his friends and family joined fans at a tailgate. He wore a Richard Sherman jersey, drank Coors Light and as always was gracious and friendly with every fan who approached him.
