Sonics Bruising: Week Nineteen Roundup

The regular season comes to a close and the postseason begins. We give you Week Nineteen of the Sonics Bruising League.

Fall down, go boom.

All good things must end and the regular season of the Sonics Bruising League is no different. On a positive note, the waiting is now over and the playoffs are in full swing.

In the SBL tournament, we have two brackets - one for the winners and one for the losers.

Those franchises that didn't win their conference or earn a wildcard berth will play on for two more weeks in the consolation bracket. I encourage those franchises to keep their chins up and keep competing. Even though you are losers, ... um ... sorry. I couldn't finish that sentence. You are losers and you are now fighting to not be the worst losers. It's a noble exercise, but not one that I ever intend to write about beyond this article.

With that unpleasantness out of the way, let's talk about the winners' bracket, which consists of two rounds and last a week each.

In the first round, the top-seeded Frozen Envelope (18-1) squares off this week against Phil's Radio Team (14-5, 4th seed). The second-seeded Team Catdawg (17-2) hosts Team Meirose (14-5, 3rd seed).
