The NFL Draft kicks off Thursday the 8th, with the Houston Texans selecting first. Jadeveon Clowney from South Carolina is most people's choice to be the top overall pick. The Seattle Seahawks, as a result of their Super Bowl XLVIII victory, will select last at number 32.
Trade rumors have been swirling, with some of the most smoke coming from Philadelphia, where word on the street is that the Eagles could trade up to draft Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel. Could Nesgoda's homeboy Nick Foles be on the way out? Manziel has also been tied to the St. Louis Rams, who have the second pick in the draft and have been allegedly shopping Sam Bradford.
The Seahawks have been relatively quiet this off-season, and the trade rumors have been no exception. They may wind up trading out of the first round completely, or they may stand pat. History shows that John Schneider and Pete Carroll are not usually inclined to keep the picks they are given. We'll see what they have in store. Given their track record, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
This is your forum to talk all things NFL Draft over the next three days. Except for Kevin. Kevin can go to Bleeding Green Nation. As for me, I'll be at the CLink for the Hawks' Draft Day Party. :)
