Thunder Lose, Seattle Can Celebrate

With the Thunder bowing out of the playoffs last night, Seattle can be a little happy.

Alonzo Adams-USA TODAY Sports

This past week has been hard on a lot of you and for good reason.  The loss of Steve Ballmer to the Hansen ownership group might have been too much for most to take.  If there is one thing you can celebrate this week though, it's knowing that Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Thunder in Oklahoma City last night to advance to the NBA Finals.

What that means is another year that the Clay Bennett cannot hoist the Larry O'Brien Trophy and another year that ESPN can't say that the Thunder have won their second championship.  Even more fitting was that it came on the eve of the 35th anniversary of our championship.

Maybe there is a curse.
