Chris Hansen and Shawn Kemp Rise To The Challenge

By now I'm sure most of you have heard of the Ice Bucket Challenge. The point of the challenge is to raise awareness for ALS, commonly known as Lou Gherig's Disease. The idea is that if you are challenged, you must dump ice cold water on your head or donate $100 to the ALS Association. To date, nearly $23 million has been donated to the ALSA in 2014, over eleven times their mark at this time last year.

You can donate yourself by going to the ALS website at www.alsa.org.

The Ice Bucket Challenge really started to take off when celebrities started getting challenged and participating. Everyone from Mark Zuckerberg to Bill Gates to Oprah has taken the plunge. Even some of Seattle's own decided to participate.

After being challenged by Macklemore, who was challenged by Russell Wilson from the top of the Space Needle, Shawn Kemp took to the Pike Place Fish Market to complete his challenge.

Kemp then challenged Sonics investor Chris Hansen, who quickly accepted. Hansen duplicated Kemp's "Lister Blister" dunk near perfectly (that leg split!) before having the water dumped on his head by his family.

Hansen then went on to challenge his fellow investors Pete and Eric Nordstrom and Wally Walker, as well as Dave "Softy" Mahler and Sir Mix-A-Lot. Will they accept? What about Gary Payton and Steve Scheffler? Will they accept Macklemore's challenge like Kemp did?
