Fantasy Basketball: Week 20 Waiver Wire and Sleeper Options!

Phil has seven waiver wire options for Fantasy Basketball owners to consider for week 20 of the Fantasy Basketball season!

Craig Mitchelldyer-USA TODAY Sports

Week 20 of the Fantasy basketball season begins on Monday February 29, 2016 and depending on your league the playoffs could begin in just two weeks! Pay careful attention to league position limits, trade deadline date and anything else specific or unique to our individual league. Here is what I have for you this week!

Teams with four games this week are the Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards.

The rest of the NBA has three games on their schedule this week.

Week 20 Waiver Wire Options

Point Guard: Shelvin Mack has been starting and averaging around 28 minutes a night since being acquired by the Jazz and with four games this week Mack should be a good contributor in points (10), rebounds (2) and assists (3). Over the past five games Mack has shot 45 percent from the floor and 70 percent from the line and is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Power Forward: Mirza Teletovic and the Suns have four games this week and if you need three pointers this week Teletovic has been knocking down three of them a night to go along with 19.2 points and 6.6 rebounds over the past five games. Over those same five games Teletovic shot 49 percent from the floor and 94 percent from the line and is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Shooting Guard: Now that Joe Johnson has been released Bojan Bogdanovic has moved into the starting lineup and went for 24 points including 3 triples while playing 38 minutes. Bogdanovic is a scorer and if you need triples and points while getting a player who is shooting 41 percent from the floor and perfect from the line over his past five games Bogdanovic might be your guy and is available in just over 70 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Small Forward: Matt Barnes and the Grizzlies have four games this week and over the past five games Barnes is averaging 8.8 points, 4.6 rebounds with a block and a steal as well as 1 triple a night playing 28 minutes a game. Over those same five games Barnes shot just 33 percent from the floor and 81 percent from the line and is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Small Forward: Maurice Harkless and the Trail Blazers have four games this week and over his past five games Harkless is averaging 12.4 points and 6 rebounds including the occasional triple while playing 23 minutes a night. Harkless shot an excellent 63 percent from the floor and 66 percent from the line during that stretch and is available in just over 65 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Point Guard: Donald Sloan and the Nets have four games this week and over the past five games Sloan is averaging 10.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists and a steal while playing just over 28 minutes a night. Sloan shot 50 percent from the floor and 75 percent from the line during that five game stretch and is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Power Forward: Bobby Portis and the Chicago Bulls have three games this week and over the past five games Portis is averaging 11 points and 8.4 rebounds while playing 23.4 minutes a night over those past five games. Portis shot 43 percent from the floor and 83 percent from the line and is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy basketball leagues.
