WHL US Division: Spokane Chiefs Notebook - Losing streak hits five, and Call Me Maybe

Spokane Chiefs losing streak hits five games

While the schedule hasn't been too friendly to the Spokane Chiefs (hey, that's junior hockey), it doesn't get any easier. Compounding things is the fact that the Chiefs find themselves on a five-game losing streak.

With home losses to Prince Albert and Kamloops, the Chiefs are reeling. The team was outscored 12-5 in those two games as well.

It's tough to find a silver lining, but newly acquired 20-year-old Luke Harrison found the net in his first game, so that's something.

The Chiefs will need to turn it around quickly, and it doesn't get any easier as the Brandon Wheat Kings come to the Spokane Arena Wednesday night. The Wheat Kings are expected to compete for the league championship, and have been picked by many to win it all.

The Victoria Royals come to town for Friday and Saturday night games before the Chiefs take off for their Eastern Conference road trip beginning Oct. 28 in Medicine Hat.

Video Vault: Call Me Maybe

Carly Rae Jepson is not only Canadian, but she once had a catchy song that was briefly popular.

Don't be ashamed, you loved it too. I'm talking about "Call Me Maybe," and here are the Spokane Chiefs of yesteryear serenading you:

I'm glad they all stuck with hockey.

Also, for some reason, Darren Kramer is a tad overly excited to sing this song.
