Jack Sikma was the most dominant center the Sonics ever had. During his nine-year stint with Seattle, he averaged 16.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 1.0 blocks. In 1992, the Sonics retired his number 43. When the Oklahoma City Thunder acquired Kendrick Perkins, a debate sparked up over whether the Thunder should honor Sikma's retired number. Thunder and Sonics fans agreed they should not.
