'Twas the Night Before the Big Games

'Twas the night before the big games, when all through the league, NBA fans were getting ready to watch the Bulls' Marquis Teague.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that a new commissioner soon would be there.

The fans were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of the Original Lob City GP to Kemp danced in their heads.

When on top of the gym there arose such a noise, it made me think of the Pistons 89-90 Bad Boys.

Away to the window I went in a hurry! I wonder if the Warriors will turn around because of Stephen Curry.

Then what to my wandering eyes should appear, but some of the NBA Stars that we love to hear.

More quickly than a fast break, the people they came; the refs whistled and the announcer all called them by name.

Now Kobe! Now Durant! Now Pierce and Griffin! On LeBron! On Dirk! On Harden and Rose!

Now Dunk away, Dunk away, Dunk away all!

And then in a twinkling I heard in the gym, the great acrobats of them rocking the rim.

After 12 hours of games I can say with delight, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
