And now we wait... But the Sonics are coming back. Briefly here is why I think so: look at present issues, not the past. Yes David Stern does want an NBA team back in Sea-town before his tenure is up, but he wants to do it without appearing that there is any Sacramento blood on his hands. So look at the issues, based on our Arena figures and progress (don't count any lawsuits against us those are all going to disappear), our tickets pledged, our market size in general, and of course our bid for the team- we are up in every category. So how does David Stern make it look Sacramento has a chance? By dragging the process out, by having multiple reviews, by putting a gag order on the Chris Hansen team. Of course Sac-town came out of the meetings shaking hands etc, they don't want anyone to see them with their heads down, and of course Chris was reserved as usual, and didn't show much emotion. He can't show his hand because it would make Sterns efforts look fake (which they are). I believe Chris already has a good idea what's going on and he's remaining pretty humble about the whole thing out of respect for Sacramento (like he said maybe you have to lose something to really appreciate it) and Stern and to also honor the gag order. KJ probably knows a bit about what's going on at this point too, heck KJ may have known he was doomed from the start and needs to save his face too, but no one can show their hands, otherwise Stern and his circus will be revealed. And Stern learned a bit from the Seattle move about what not to do, even though these situations are different, he'd have probably done things a tad different then too. I'll say it again, this thing has been done since December. The Sonics are coming back:) Just gotta wait a few weeks for "procedure". Thus having the Sonics moving to Oklahoma be overshadowed (and he'd hope forgotten) by a much fairer processed move (in his mind) of the Kings to Seattle, by appeasing both cities with the review. Good luck with that Stern. GO SONICS!
