What do we have to lose by standing by Chris Hansen? We stand by all of our other teams, wether it's the Seahawks, Mariners, Huskies, Cougars, or perhaps you're a fan of another team in another city, or state. Every year, we stand behind our teams in the hopes of a Super Bowl, a World Series, a National Championshop, and every year ends in disappointment. What do we really have to lose if we stand behind Chris Hansen and support him in returning the SuperSonics back to Seattle?

We've already lost 5 seasons of NBA basketball, and we are likely to lose a couple more now that the Kings are out of play. We need to show our support in anyway we can, wether it's continuing to wear Sonics gear, or keeping the conversation going here on sonicsrising.com, or making sure the proper politicians remain in office that support our cause in returning the NBA back to Seattle! Don't let our dream die because of David Stern. Keep our dream alive because of Chris Hansen!

Think of the excitement Sacramento Kings fans are feeling right now. They never even lost their team, only had the idea of losing their team, and they are ecstatic that they won the battle. For now anyway, who knows what the future holds with the arena plan they've bandaged together. We've been there, only we lost our team, and came oh so close to getting a team back. Sure it hurts, just like losing a playoff series hurts. But we've been there, remember losing game 5 to Denver back in '93? The hurt goes away, a new season begins and we continue to support our teams. So why should we give up now? We may not have a team, but we have our memories, and we can create more if we stand by Chris Hansen. This isn't just about fighting for our memories, but memories that can still be made in the future. For our kids, our grandkids, for all of those that love basketball.

Just imagine the thrill of victory when Chris Hansen announces that he has officially secured us a team. Won't all of this heartbreak have been worth it? Think of the jubilation this city will feel by accomplishing something that may be as big of a victory as a game 7 win in the Finals! I truly believe Chris Hansen can lead us to the promised land. He's committed, and so should all of us as Sonics fans. . David Stern may have kept the Kings out of Seattle, but he sure as hell didn't kill Chris Hansen's dream of owning the Sonics. That day will come, and I hope most of you will support him in anyway he needs us to get there. We don't have a team, so what do we have to lose by standing by Chris Hansen?
