206 Tracker: Isaiah Thomas Loves Playing the Lakers

Isaiah Thomas might start wishing the Suns could play the Lakers every night and Aaron Brooks plays big for the Bulls.

After the first full week of the NBA season it might be time to start engraving the name of Isaiah Thomas on the 6th Man of the Year award.  So far this year he's averaging 18.7 points per game on 56% shooting from the floor and 47% from three.  His career averages up to this point had 15.4 points on 45% shooting from inside the arc and 36% from three.  Of course he is going to regress more towards the mean with 78 games left this season, but with this dynamic three guard offense that Jeff Hornacek is running in Phoenix and Thomas play just under start minutes we could continue to see numbers like this.  He does currently lead the Suns in scoring and is third amongst all NBA point guards (28.37).

With the Chicago Bulls entering the fourth with a slim one point lead over the Orlando Magic, Aaron Brooks accounted for ten of the Bulls 29 points in the quarter by scoring 5 points, including the game icing layup, he also had two assists that accounted for the other five points.  He also had a fourth quarter rebound.

With the Thunder becoming more and more injury riddled by the day Nick Collison could be seeing a lot more minutes, potentially at point guard the way things are going.  According to our own Mike Baker the Thunder are on track to be down to five players by Friday and one of them having a near death experience by Sunday.

Rest of the guys from the PNW had so-so nights, but hey.  They get mentioned in a write up.  Kind of.
