Whats with this KeyArena renovation story on King 5?

I thought this was a dead end? Does anyone why they are doing remodeling studies on the Key? Supposedly they can renovate Key arena for NBA and NHL for 285 million? Where is all this coming from? If there is anyone out there who knows what this is all about, I would appreciate a response.....Thanks
