We’ve all heard the rumors about Phil Jackson possibly taking a key front office position in Seattle if the Kings morph into the Sonics next season.
Does that mean Brian Shaw would be our coach? Possibly. Would Phil see Nate McMillan as a coach he could work with? Maybe.
There would be no ifs, ands, or buts about one thing, however. If Phil Jackson becomes the master chef of our team, the “triangle offense” will be one of his main recipes.

New thread is due.
This guy Darius Anderson is real deal. Very impressed with him and his presentation.
The weird thing is that we always see these guys preaching to the choir. Bringing 50 people into the city council chamber is great but city council is not their problem. I don’t know how they would translate if they were doing this with a less supportive audience who actually asked questions and challenged them on this stuff.
So there is a report that the Sacramento Council vote may be delayed for 2 days so that it can be reviewed and evaluated.
Now I don’t think that this will matter much in the scheme of things (in fact I’m pretty sure that none of this matters much) but I am hopeful that it happens. Continue reading
Denver Stiffs writer Jeffrey Morton has a very nice piece today called Hurricanes, relocation and arenas…oh my.
It seems to be a pretty fair summary of what has brought the NBA (and thereby us) to where we stand today.
We have had a good debate, so far, about the merits of offers to purchase, and arena build plans. But, I don’t think that’s where the “bidding war” is actually being fraught at this point. Continue reading
