This is a clear public admission that the league will not even consider the Sacramento group if it cannot present a proposed purchase price that is comparable to HBN's purchase price. It is going to be extremely interesting to watch Stern try to distance himself from this quote when he attempts to justify denying the current HBN deal (which values the team at $100MM more than the Ranadive offer).
