Fantasy Basketball: Week 16 Waiver Wire and Sleepers!

Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY Sports

Phil has seven waiver wire options for Fantasy Basketball owners to consider for week 16 of the Fantasy Basketball season!

Week 16 of the Fantasy basketball season begins Monday February the 1st. There is just one more week until the shortened break for the NBA All-Star game and that means if we want to make the playoffs we need to get our rosters in order. We also need to check our specific leagues trading deadline as well as position limits.......let's get started!

Teams with four games this week are the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks, Orlando Magic, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards.

The Golden State Warriors are the only NBA team this week with two games on their schedule while all other NBA teams have three games this week.

Week 16 Waiver Wire Options

Power Forward/Center: Willie Cauley-Stein and the Kings have four games this week and now that he's getting the minutes (29 over his last five games) he's averaging 9 points, 8 rebounds 1.4 blocks and 1.4 steals a night. Over those past five games Cauley-Stein is shooting 56 percent from the floor and 90 percent from the line and is available in just over 55 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Power Forward/Center: Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets have four games this week and over his past five games his minutes have been fluctuating between his low of 14 and a high of 32 for a 21 minute per night average. During that span he's averaging 11.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.6 steals a night. Jokic shot 56 percent from the floor and 77 percent from the line while knocking down the occasional triple and is available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Small Forward/Power Forward: Ersan Ilyasova and the Pistons have four games this season and over his last five games Ilyasova is averaging 11.2 points, 7 rebounds while knocking down the occasional triple playing 28.2 minutes a night. During that same 5 game stretch Ilyasova shot 40 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the line and is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.

Point Guard/Shooting Guard: Langston Galloway has been getting 31 minutes a night over his last five games and is averaging 11.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2 assists and one triple a night. Those numbers might not jump out at you but when this Knicks team is fully healthy Galloway is going to light it up. Over that same five game stretch Galloway is shooting 53 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the line and is available in just over 80 percent of all Major Fantasy basketball leagues.

Shooting Guard/Small Forward: Justice Winslow and the Heat have four games this week and with all the injuries to the Heat Winslow is averaging 35 minutes a night over his past five and averaging 8.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3 assists and one triple a night. During that same five game stretch Winslow is shooting 53 percent from the floor and is perfect from the line and is available in just over 85 percent of all Major Fantasy Baseball leagues.

Power Forward/Center: Myles Turner is available in just over 40 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues so grab him NOW while you still can!!!!!! He's starting now and averaging over 30 minutes a night for the Pacers so GRAB HIM NOW!!!!!

Power Forward/Center: Kelly Olynyk and the Celtics have four games this week and over the past five games Olynyk is averaging 13 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and almost 2 triples per night on 22.4 minutes a game.
