Some of you may have already received an email from the Sonics Arena team, thanking you for signing the petition and inviting you to a pre-hearing "Tip-Off" event on March 15. If you haven't received it, here's what it says:

Thank you for adding your voice to the thousands asking the Seattle City Council to approve the Occidental Avenue street vacation.

To show your support in person, please come to the Public Hearing Tip-Off on March 15 at 4pm. Joining us will be members of KJR and the voice of the Sonics Kevin Calabro.

WHEN: Tuesday, March 15 at 4pm
WHERE: Seattle City Hall, Bertha Knight Landes Room on the Main Floor

After the Public Hearing Tip-Off event, we'll all be heading to Council Chambers on the 2nd floor to show just how many of us want to BRING BACK OUR SONICS!

And whether or not you can attend, please send an email to the City Council at council@seattle.gov to ask them to approve the street vacation. It will send a strong signal to the NBA and NHL that Seattle is ready to be a home for the leagues.
