Also here is my take on the Key Arena location
For anyone that thinks Key Arena is a better location than the area of theSonicsArena, here is my experience going to the PAC 12 Womens tournament to watch UW yesterday. Nelson Amador and I agreed to take a bus from the Mercer Island Park and ride because the drive to Key Arena is just unbearable with not only traffic on I 90 and I 5 but also the Traffic in the Seattle Center area and not to mention......the limited parking........The bus we took wouldnt go straight to Key Arena so we went to Westlake Center with the choice of taking the Monorail or just walk to Key Arena. We agreed to walk because we didnt want to spend an another $2.50 and we value exercise and adventure...anyway.....after the game, which was at around 10pm, we chose to take the monorail. Normally, the monorail closes at 9pm, but thankfully because of the PAC 12 game, the monorail was willing to extend to 11pm and of course, if the game went any longer, we would have had to use UBER or walk in the scary dark! Finally, we made it to Westlake Center and luckily we made it to the bus when we were at risk to miss the last bus to mercer island. Luckily, we made it back just fine. But had this tournament been at the new SODO arena, I would have been only required to take ONE bus.....thats my story and I hope everyone agrees that Key Arena is not the right area for an NBA/NHL arena....see you all SonicsArenasupporters on March 15th
