Chris Hansen Announcement Coming at 5PM

Chris Hansen has an announcement that is being released at 5PM through sonicsarena.com.

We don’t have any idea what the announcement is going to be, but we’re pretty sure it’s not going to be the Seahawks trading Richard Sherman to the Jets for Darrelle Revis.

Let the wild and over imaginative speculation begin!

Update: Word coming from Carmichael Dave and Aaron Bruski is that Chris Hansen is bowing out from buying the Kings and is going to build them an arena free of charge for all the stress he has caused the city.

Update #2: Kevin Johnson has announced a press conference for 5:07PM tonight.

Update #3: The announcement is happening to keep Kevin from running an OKC-San Antonio game thread tonight.

*Updates are pure speculation by SR. They may or may not be true*

The ILWU plans to formally announce their appeal tomorrow afternoon during a press conference.

We’ll let you know if there is anything to be worried about (there isn’t).

Hence why we have CenturyLink Field, Barclays Center, the Boston Garden is now the TD Garden for God’s sake! Not to mention a witty nickname is always fun. Fans of the Charlotte Bobcats (yes, there are some) call the Time Warner Cable Arena “The Cable Box.” So who should buy the naming rights to the Sonics’ new home? Below are some Seattle-area companies that could potentially claim the name. along with some clever nicknames for each.
