    From last thread:

    Art’s website is shitty.

  2. Christopher Michael says:

I think it is more that he is the pessimistic Seattle sports fan.

I’ll admit that I’m 95% sure the team is going to Seattle. That 5% has nothing to do with what we’ve been hearing and everything to do being a Seattle sports fan.

So to me Art is that 5% but with a voice.

  3. brettb3 says:

I’m convinced that Art is taking a doomsday stance in order to drive up hits on his struggling website. A guy as smart as he supposedly is can’t honestly believe the things he’s saying.

  4. Sean says:

So over the past couple of weeks we’ve heard a ton of noise about the million different ways that Sacramento is going to be able to keep the Kings.

But we haven’t heard much more than a peep from our guys about their plan, ya know, the whole actually buying the team thing.

I think everyone’s best bet is to not even browse the Sac sites or twitter feeds, just let the tidal wave of nonsense get filtered into the one or two drops of relevant information by people smarter than us.

    Controversy drives up hits.

I bet Carmichael Dave is loving all the attention as well

  6. Numbers Guy1984 says:

This is all about the relevant parties saving face.

David Stern: Wants to right a wrong with Seattle before he retires. However, he doesn’t want the blame for Sacramento leaving town. Result: Stern allows KJ and Burkle to meet with him, meaning when Sacramento moves to Seattle the BOG not Stern will receive the wrath of the fans. An alternative viewpoint would be that Stern provides Burkle/KJ a clear path to get the next team available to move to Sacramento.

Burkle/KJ: Save face in Sacramento and appear as the teams savior, provide themselves an avenue to obtain the next available team.

Bankruptcy Trustee: Maximize value of the 7% ownership stake by attempting to scare Hansen and Co. into overpaying for the 7% stake.

  7. MarkS says:

According to the PSBJ Hansen would have a race against the clock to have the SoDo Arena up and running by fall of 2015.

    Who is Carmichael Dave?

  9. mwb2482 says:

It always seemed to me that Art just tries to give a perspective that nobody else in town is offering… even if there are really good reasons why nobody is taking that position. If he ends up being right, he’ll SUBTLY say “I told you so” as often as possible. If he’s wrong, he’ll just move on and never mention it again. Some people in town love him for it. Personally, I think his routine is getting a little old.

    • Ty says:

He’s really been quite the asshole as of late. I use to follow him because I wanted to see the other side from an honest perspective, and I thought he was a well regarded media member down there. Then he started stooping to petty insults and attacks at Seattle in general, and I just had enough of that guy.

      • Ty says:

And I understand his emotion, totally. But personally, I would never resort to that behavior towards Sacto fans because its so unnecessary. So when he started with the venom towards us, I was like forget it dude, I no longer care to read your thoughts on the situation
