The Bulls are definitely missing Derrick Rose and it is a miracle they are seven games above .500 at this point in time. Bulls have been struggling to find consistent scoring and the best offensive threat is Nate Robinson. If your best play maker/scorer is Nate Robinson then my friend, you got issues.

The 76ers on the other side of the court have appeared to have quit on Doug Collins. Collins is in year three of as coach of the 76ers. Funny thing about Collins; he’s never made it to a fourth year of any of his coaching stints. Rumors are flying that since the 76ers are not performing up to par (could have used Bynum) that Collins is probably going to get the axe at the end of the season.

Best Matchup - Holiday vs. Robinson. A little Pac-12 vs. Pac-12 rivalry. Sure they never faced each other once in college, but UW will always want to out do someone from UCLA. Will Nate Robinson shoot 30 times tonight? Probably.

Prediction: Bulls play tough, ugly basketball. If you ask some my friends in Philly the 76ers don’t play anything that regards basketball. So, take the Bulls (-7.5) in a very ugly, 78-69.

  1. Jrue, Noah, and Robinson should all be fun to watch. By the way I LOVE HOW JIMMY BUTLER PLAYS!

  2. Chicago v Philly doesn’t intrigue me a whole lot but I have nothing to do and miss the NBA so I’ll check it out.

  3. Eric, you’ve always been honest with me… How do you like the layout game threads?

    Anything o add, subtract?

  4. I haven’t looked too closely at the game threads so far to be honest. Glancing at this one I like everything for the most part. If I had a complaint it would be that the lists of players and their positions under “Projected Starting Five” is in the same font. It might look neater or be easier to read if the positions were in bold or something. Also the logos tonight are a little large so with them, the score and the pre game info it takes a little scrolling to get to the thread.

That’s just me looking for something to point out though, not any real issues. I think you’ve done a great job with the threads so far. Your introduction of the teams and what to look for from them is huge! So many of us, including myself, have been off the NBA for a while.

So I guess other than small nit picky type things they’re looking great and fun to read. I appreciate all the work you’ve put in man and the interaction!

  5. Hawes a really nice feed to the baseline cutter towards the beginning of the game. Gotta love a big who can see and pass well.

  6. If you want to be an over achiever you could put player photos and hotlink to their NBA.com profiles. lol jk! I hope my input helps :)

  7. Sorry to interrupt basketball talk…but I heard KJ is making his whale announcement a little after 6pm tonight. Is that correct?

  8. It looked like Nate missed a cutting Deng on that last possession Might have been a tight passing lane though.

  9. Joakim Noah and Lavoy Allen the two players to watch. Allen is an unknown player but you follow him will be good … From Argentina supporting these days of fight.

  10. I was thinking about do something some like that! The Wolves-Lakers thread is going to look a bit different than this one.

Love to have him as a Sonic

You do that and this is easily the best fan forum in basketball, especially for not having a team! lol. You put it a lot of work in on these, it’s impressive.

  14. Danimal, yeah Hawes is awesome. Could see him being a good asset to have!

John, yeah I used to hate Noah but I can’t, he plays hard and wants to win. Can’t hate that. Gotta love his “Ever hear someone say they’re going on vacation to Cleveland?” haha!

Basic HTML5 stuff. Once I get good things will move. bwahahahahaha

  16. I like these threads just to see teams starting lineups. Just another reminder how much I need to freshen up on the league.

If I was a Philly fan, I’d hate Andrew Bynum right now. Would you want to re-sign him if you were a Sixer fan? It really rubs me the wrong way how happy he always seems on the sideline. I don’t get the feeling he cares one bit about not being able to play this season.

  17. you know, there ought to be some kind of award for guys like kirk heinrich. show up every game, play smart, and hit the open shot from the side of the key. . .

    that guy still has it.

and yes, andrew bynum is the absolute distillate of what bugs sixers fans. i am pretty sure that bowling with his friends does not rank as less important that playing out the string for this sixer team.

  18. seafanatic:
Longshore union is going to appeal. Heard it from a reliable source. Call Chris Daniels.

Appeal what? It is going to be the same. They are wasting there time.

  19. Boozer with a solid double-double going. Chicago should have putten Philly away by now.

  20. Chris Daniels ‏@ChrisDaniels5
Johnson says Mastrov will submit a bid tomorrow to the NBA and the Maloofs to keep the Kings in Sacramento.

Doesn’t KJ know that the Maloofs can’t accept new bids because of the deal with Hansen?

  21. Don’t ya know that Joakim Noah has a triple double that involves points/rebounds/blocks?

Maybe this time they’ll give Goldman time to sit down before they toss his case this time.
