As the news broke out that Seattle may not even consider to amend the MOU for our Sonics arena to be built with having the NHL team secured before an NBA team. Originally, Seattle will agree to build the arena with the NBA team secured first.

Seattle City council member Tim Burgess stated "During our initial consideration of the MOU, it was quite clear that the financial risk to the city increased dramatically with the NHL-first scenario."

Lets make this clear, we are in our 2nd year in the MOU and it is set to expire in year 5, honestly, we must take the opportunity with the fact that an NHL team is much more open than the NBA to arrive in Seattle, if we linger any longer, the NHL and the NBA may not take us seriously, maybe this is a little emotional but i strongly suggest we write emails to Seattle City council to remind them that we should be open to amend the MOU with the NHL coming back to Seattle first. As of now, Key arena is not a viable long term venue for the NHL
